01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
About this place
The roasty aroma rising with the steam is layered with the mellow richness of brandy. When ordering coffee at Café Le Violon, guests are asked whether they would prefer milk or brandy, leading to a deep, warming cup accented with a few drops of spirits.
Beyond coffee, the drink selection includes tea, juice, and cocoa, paired with homemade cakes and house rusks. Served in a cup, the homemade unbaked cheesecake is modest in size yet richly flavored, pairing seamlessly with the lingering finish of the coffee. Those ordering tea can also choose to have spirits added to taste, providing another leisurely way to enjoy subtle sweetness and aroma.
Modeled after a Viennese concert hall, the interior features seating arranged directly toward large front-facing speakers. A quiet environment dedicated to listening is maintained, with conversation kept to a minimum as guests immerse themselves in reading or solitary contemplation surrounded by classical music played from vinyl records. The cafe's record-listening hours run from 12:00 to 17:00, and payment is cash only.
